Scirocco Studios opened last week in London, showing my first collaboration with Chris O'Shea. The installation was inspired by car tail lights and how they transform photographs taken with long exposure. The projection on the floor showed a race of small invisible cars leaving beautiful red traces around a track inspired by the race track in Oschersleben, Germany. We picked the track purely for aesthetic reasons from a line up of race tracks and were surprised to find that we had chosen the track closest to my home town in East Germany!
The installation had an interactive element: when viewers stepped into the installation, the racers became disoriented trying to avoid the intruders.

A special thank you goes to Chris, who was left to do all the work implementing the idea while I was spending my days at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital taking care of Silvia and Elettra!
Scirocco Studio was curated by Yorgo and his colleagues from Intersection Magazine.
